Promised Land Therapy is a leading therapy/training/networking
practice providing Verbal Behavior/Communication Training to persons with speech and language disorders, Autism, Apraxia,
ADHD and related disorders. We are among the first to utilize an integrated Verbal Behavior and Errorless Learning approach.
This is a highly successful method for teaching language and functional communication to children with language and speech
disorders. Many children and adults have come to us with little or no communication skills, often after months or years of
traditional therapy, and have made significant gains within the first month.
The Verbal Behavior Program
Based upon the results of the comprehensive Assessment, an individualized communication training
program is developed. The program generally consists of specific teaching protocols in 5 to 10 areas in which the child is
disordered. Each teaching protocol consists of specific teaching and data collection methods. All Instructors/ Therapists
involved in the communication training program are thoroughly trained in implementing each protocol correctly.

Verbal Behavior Assessment
All children referred for communication training receive a complete Assessment
of their existing communication skills. In addition many other skills related to cooperation, learning, and play are assessed.
Writing, dressing, eating, grooming, gross and fine motor skills may also be assessed. The results of this Assessment form
the basis for the child’s individualized program
Data Based Decision Making
We
use empirical data to guide our treatment decisions. Daily progress data are collected on each skill targeted for intervention.
We use this data to ensure that we are continually making progress on each goal.
